At Veridos, we align with the ESG targets of our shareholders. We share our parent company G+D’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. We believe in a holistic approach towards environmental conservation, spanning across climate protection, water consumption, waste management, and the development of innovative products with a reduced footprint on the environment.
As part of our commitment to sustainable practices, we have set targets in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and aim to achieve Net Zero by 2040. We are proud to announce that we have recently achieved FSC® certification (FSC® C191608), further solidifying our commitment to sustainability.

Our Key Performance Indicators are reported in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and we as well as our shareholders are actively involved in several organizations including the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the UN Global Compact, and the Munich Business Climate Pact.
As we continue to innovate and expand, we are focused on integrating features into our products, that allow highest security standards with a reduced negative impact on the environment. We believe in the power of innovation to drive positive change and are constantly exploring new ways to minimize our environmental impact.
We understand the challenges of waste management and recycling. That's why we are calling for innovation in the area of waste treatment and recycling. We invite industry stakeholders to engage with us in discussions on how to improve waste management systems across the globe.
Our environmental strategy is threefold:
- Climate Protection and Greenhouse Gas Emissions: Our goal is to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, based on the 2020 baseline, and achieve net zero emissions by 2040. We are continuously updating our infrastructure, reducing energy consumption, and increasing our renewable energy purchases.
- Water Consumption: We aim to reduce our absolute water consumption by 10% by 2030 compared to 2020.
- Waste and Recycling: Our target is to achieve zero waste to landfill by 2030. We are committed to avoiding waste as much as possible and increasing our recovery and recycling rates in all business areas.
